1. Udaipur

Sitting at the top of the most searched Indian destinations on Google, 'the city of lakes' is also known for its wooded Aravalli hills, glorious palaces, temples, havelis and some really colourful streets in the city's oldest quarters. It was way back in 1829 that Colonel James Tod of the East India Company had named Udaipur 'the most romantic spot on the continent of India.'

Nainital is counted among one of the most sought after weekend getaways by Delhiites. The place is known for its beautiful Naini Lake, which is set amidst the towering peaks of the Kumaon mountains. 10. Ladakh

Even though it's at the last position of Google searches this year, Ladakh is one destination in India that travelers simply can't ignore.
